User Experience
User Interface

Various designs and strategy supporting the development of the best user experience possible.

Originally, I started as a web designer when websites were simply made of HTML and/or Flash. As technology grew and the mobile web experience was becoming a viable way to consume data on the go, a need for knowledge on key elements along the web journey was created.

A great web experience was more than creating an attractive page for people to land on. Now as a designer I would need to research and understand the user experience and what problems the design I worked on would solve for that user. With the introduction of a variety of devices and glass sizes, a skill set to design user interface elements that could adapt to user behaviors was also required. Taking these skill sets and the ability to design a visually attractive experience while also architecting the entire deliverable for both clients and developers is an essential part to how I deliver interactive, digital products.

I also deliver a production plan from inception to development, testing and launch. I predetermine risks and possible roadblocks upfront to minimize delays in timelines and increase cost. In a parallel path I also play a key part in developing the communication both pre and post launch. As-well-as create a post launch strategy.

Custom Video Flow

This project was centered around customizing a video based off how the user filled out the form. The user experience was to log into their portal and select customize video. The user would  interact with prefilled fields, text boxes and drop-down selections to set up their custom video. On submit the backend would connect with an outside vendor to render the video and supply a link. From there the information would come back to the user’s portal where we could alert them in various ways and store their download.

User Account Update

The request was to redesign a better user experience for logged in customers on Weichert.com. An increase of new users would increase our communication strategy as well as verified users increased conversion by 50%. This is a sample from a large set of wireframes created to visualize the user experience.

Increasing account signups

Each form on Weichert.com would render a verification screen when information was submitted. Looking to increase account signups I developed a flow that offered new users the opportunity to create an account which was already started based off the information collected. I also used this opportunity to identify if it was a returning user who we could sign in and take advantage of account benefits.
